30 Days About Me Day 24: Home Sweet Home

30 Days About Me Toni from A Daily Dose of Toni, is hosting this 30 Days About Me meme and today's prompt is "Where you live? Tell us or show us about where you live." I live in Knoxville, TN. At the foothills of the Great Smokey Mountains. One of the most beautiful places on Earth.... if I do say so myself.

This description from City of Knoxville Tennessee says it perfectly,

Knoxville's roots run deep and strong. The city has served as the hub of the region since its founding in 1791. The best of its Appalachian heritage remains today -- a strong work ethic, a family-centered community, and an intense respect for the natural beauty that envelopes the region.

The metropolitan Knoxville area was recently ranked the "best place to live in the United States and Canada" among cities with a population of fewer than 1 million. The ranking came from the Millennium edition of Places Rated Almanac. The results confirmed what most in this area have known for a long time - Knoxville is one of the best cities in the country!

I've lived in Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky (where most of my family still lives), and in Virginia but I was too young to remember it. I've been blessed to call Knoxville my home since 1997.

Here's  a small glimpse of Knoxville and some of it's surrounding areas:

There is so much more I could show you about my fair city, but it would take me days to add all the images. We have a wonderful Zoo, an Aquarium, fantastic restaurants, beautiful lakes and parks, and the list goes on and on. Oh, and the last photo is a sunset from my front porch.

I can't wait to go see where my fellow bloggers live. And I'd  love to hear about where you live!

my husband is a HUGE titans fan so Tennessee is somewhere he's really been wanting to go. The pictures are amazing and I never knew there was so much to see there.
