Farrah Fawcett's cancer journal - her final days

TheFarrahFawcettPoster Farrah Fawcett's two hour special on her battle with cancer debuts tonight on NBC at 9:00 pm EST.  Farrah's Story is one of pain, heartache, strength and hope.

The former Charlie's Angels star is suffering from anal cancer that has spread to her liver and has suffered complications from an unrelated procedure performed in Germany.

Most of the footage was filmed with a home video recorder by her friend Alana StewartRyan O'Neal and former Charlie's Angels co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson appear in it.

Farrah Fawcett is a TV icon... a sex symbol.  If you grew up in the 70s and 80s you know who she is...  and if you're a woman - you probably had her hairstyle or wanted it...  because we all wanted Farrah hair.  Every girl wanted to be her and every boy... wanted her.

Her famous poster in the red bathing suit was plastered on many a boy's bedroom walls.

I wanted to be an Angel.  To be honest, I wanted to be Kelly Garrett, played by Jaclyn Smith.  But any Angel would have been fine.  I imagined being a private investigator for the Townsend Associates with a boss I never saw, but heard via a speaker phone.  Oh, to have been a Charlie's Angel.

Farrah was a Charlie's Angel and may soon be one of God's Angels - but Farrah seems like a fighter.  And I hope she can hang in there and fight.  I know that I along with millions of others are sending her well wishes.

You can read more about "Farrah's Story" and tune in tonight, May, 14, 2009 on NBC at 9:00 pm EST to watch her documentary.

She was so brave in her battle with cancer. My brother had her picture on his door as a teenage. I remember doing my hair like hers too. Very sad.
