It seems that Sherri Shepherd is into Twitter, and over the weekend Elizabeth Hasselbeck joined with equal enthusiasm. My question is - "what took them so long?"
Whoopi Goldberg is on the other side of the coin. She doesn't want a thing to do with Twitter or as she says, "Tweeter, Twitter or whatever it's called." She doesn't want people sending her stuff about Twitter - "doesn't care what everybody is doing."
Joy says a person that uses Twitter is "egocentric" They go on to talk about celebrities hiring people to tweet for them - because they don't have the time to tweet themselves but it's a way of promoting their next movie, book or whatever project they are working on.
Bill O'Reilly is there first guest and he says he thinks it hurts talk radio. I guess he thinks Twitter is competition - if we can find all our news on Twitter we don't need to listen to him. Elizabeth says "so what you have to say is more important than what the average Joe has to say?" Obviously, O'Reilly does think what he has to say is more important. Who would have guessed. ;)
The reason Twitter was brought up on The View today was because evidently last night during the Celebrity Apprentice, Sherri tweeted about how the Celebrity Apprentice turned into an intervention. It appears that Dennis Rodman may be an alcoholic. The remaining celebrity contestants confronted Rodman on his drinking during the boardroom segment. Where Donald Trump then told Rodman those dreaded words "you're fired."
The three questions that struck me the most from their conversation - and it is hard to get everything they say, since they all talk over each other, are:
- Do you think active Twitter users are egocentric by nature?
- How do you feel about celebrity Twitters using, what I guess would be the equivalent of a ghostwriter?
- Do you find that you get more of your news and gossip from Twitter than from other conventional methods?
I'd love to hear what you think? So leave a comment and let's discuss it.
