Green Works #Review: It's Green & Works!

Monday, 6 February 2012

I can't say I love to clean. I do have my moments, usually about three times a year I get in the mood to clean my house from top to bottom, but all in all the act of cleaning itself, is usually not on my top priority of things to do.

I do however, love a clean house. Hey, I just said I didn't "love" cleaning. I also love products that help alleviate my fears of endangering my family and my environment with dangerous chemicals.

So I was very happy to recently receive a Green Works products package to review. Which included:

  • Green Works Cleaning Wipes -  It is 100% compostable, so you can clean up after your family and guests, and feel good while you’re at it!
  • Green Works Laundry Detergent -  The dermatologist-tested formula is gentle on skin and formulated for both standard and high-efficiency (HE) washers, so you can be sure that your laundry will be fresh and clean….load, after load, after load.
  • Green Works Bathroom Cleaner -  The bathroom cleaner is a non-toxic way to power through soap scum, rust and hard water stains — without harsh chemical fumes and residue.
  • Green Works All Purpose Cleaner -  It is safe to use on multiple surfaces throughout the kitchen and bathroom, including counters, appliances, stainless steel, sealed granite, chrome, cook top hoods, sinks and toilets.

Green Works Cleaning Wipes

I love the cleaning wipes. Wipes are my friend. They're just such an easy product to use. From wiping up a spill or sticky mess, to disinfecting, they're so easy to use. I love that they're compostable -- how environmentally friendly is that!?!? And I feel good knowing I'm not leaving harsh chemical fumes and residues while I'm wiping off my countertops.

Green Works Laundry Detergent

I think the laundry detergent is my favorite. I have contact dermititis and have oodles of trouble with laundry detergents. Thankfully, I've never had any problems using Green Works Laundry Detergent. And most importantly, I feel like my laundry is really clean.

Green Works Bathroom Cleaner

Ah, the dreaded bathroom. I have a love/hate relationship with my bathrooms. It's one of my favorite rooms as far as getting away to myself. It is the only room of the house I have complete privacy. Now that my son is older. When he was younger, he would either come in the bathroom, or as he got older, stand at the door and talk to me. Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but... I love my privacy, too.

However, it isn't my bathroom I dread so much as it is my son's bathroom. He's a nine-year-old boy, need I say more?

To be honest, I hate cleaning all 3 of our bathrooms. I mean really, does anyone really love cleaning bathrooms? And, I probably have been more guilty of using harsh cleaners in this room more than any others, just because I feel like it's the nastiest room (other than the kitchen sink) in the house.

I know though, that as long as I clean my bathrooms thoroughly weekly, and give the toilets, sinks, and countertops a wipe down every day, I do not need to use chemical laden products. Green Works Bathroom Cleaner cleans with the power of Clorox, but is made from 99% naturally derived ingredients. Nice.

Green Works All-Purpose Cleaner

I love multi-purpose cleaners. It cuts down on waste. Why have several bottles/containers of cleaners to dispose of, when you can have one. It's safe for most all surfaces in your kitchen and bathrooms.

Have you tried Green Works products before? If so which is your favorite? If you haven't, I can't recommend any one of these products over the other -- they're all great. You truly can't go wrong. Check out Green Works website to learn more about these and their other cleaning products.

You can also follow Green Works on Facebook, I am!

Disclosure: A a gift pack of Green Works products, in partnership with Mom Bloggers Club, was provided in exchange for this review.  As always, all opinions expressed in this review are my own honest opinions.
